Power Spinning

Flow Forming
Or Flow Turning is a 'one pass' technique (sometimes referred to as Shear Forming) for the production of a conical part with a reduced wall thickness precisely related to the angle. The unworked part of the blank is left at the original thickness.
Flow Forming
Multipass
A disc is clamped against the face of the spinning former, the shape of which conforms to the internal shape of the part to be produced. As the disc and former revolve, the spinning roller describes a curved path up to the edge of the disc and back so that the material is progressively laid on to the former.
